It all started.........

Back in the days of all things madras plaid and critter pants. My love for J.Crew that is. I may or may not have owned quite a few polo's with critters on the color or on the chest. Thankfully some of those styles have faded away and more current ones have emerged, both with them and with me.

                                                         Rather cute for "Critter Shorts"

                                                         And some rather vintage Madras

You may ask "how is J.Crew something you can afford, when a lot of their price points are a little high". Well, I can give you some secrets. First, I can't tell you the last time I have purchased something full price. I either wait till a stellar coupon code exists, or shop their sales. Normally though, I shop sales & use coupon codes. And seldom purchase from their new roll-outs. With the way I shop J.Crew, I do run the risk of them selling out before I can order my size, but I figure I never "Need" anything so badly I can't take that chance. I will add that if an item sells out online, don't totally give up on it. Keep checking back, often items pop back up online. I really wanted some lightweight chambray summer shorts they had, but they kept being sold out in my size. I finally emailed one of their stylists and she was able to locate a pair in my size. Most of the time I get my J.Crew items for Target prices. Figure you can't go wrong with that! Most of the time their Brick & Mortar stores offer additional % off on sales. Coupon codes are frequently on their website. Sometimes they offer free shipping days. I just wait till all the stars align and purchase then!

One big reason I love J.Crew besides the awesome style of their clothes, is the quality. And if I have ever had items where the quality hasn't been up to par, they have been excellent about replacing the items. Customer service is so awesome with them! I once spoke to their customer service at 10:30PM to get a swim suit top exchanged before they sold out in my size!

Just to give you an idea of some deals I will post a few options below.

Broken-in Boyfriend Jean
Originally $125.00 Sale $41.99

Linen Baseball Tee
Originally $39.50 Sale $17.99

Canvas Espadrilles
Originally $50.00 Sale $17.99

Crystal Decadence Necklace
Originally $58.00 Sale $26.99

And there you have it! A full J.Crew outfit for around $110.00 shipped! Full retail price would have been $272.50. So more then half off if you just have a little patience and don't buy the second the items come out. Now would be an ideal time to buy these items, wear a little the rest of the summer but be able to have pretty much new for next spring/summer season.
